How donors pre-register for VenaShield centers

Donors fill in their details and health questions at home and get a QR code. Staff check every detail at the desk before a donor record exists.

Donors can fill in their details and the health questionnaire on their own phone before they arrive, whether they're coming to the center or to a camp. At the desk, staff check every detail before a donor record is created.

For the center: share your pre-registration link

Your link is:

https://<your VenaShield address>/donor-registration?site=<your site code>

Print it as a QR code at your reception, on camp posters and on social media. The site= part makes sure the pre-registration reaches your center.

For the donor: fill in the form at home

1. Open the link on your phone. You don't need an account.
2. Enter your name, mobile number, sex, date of birth, city and PIN code. Your blood group, email and full address are optional.
3. Answer the health questions honestly. They are the same ones the doctor will ask.
4. Tap Get my QR code. Keep the QR code or the short code shown under it.

The code is valid for 7 days. If you can't come within 7 days, fill in the form again.

At the desk: staff check everything

VenaShield runs pre-registration in no-trust mode. Nothing a donor types becomes a donor record until a staff member has checked it.

1. The receptionist opens Donation Management → Pre-registration Desk and scans the donor's QR code or types the code.
2. They check each detail against the donor's photo ID and correct anything that's wrong.
3. If the mobile number already belongs to a donor, VenaShield offers that existing record, so the donor isn't registered twice.
4. The verified donor continues to the medical officer, vitals and collection, like any walk-in donor.

At a camp

Camps use the same link and the same desk check. On the camp poster, use your center's link. At the camp, the desk team checks each pre-registered donor on a tablet.

If the camp has no signal, the camp team can still collect donations offline. Unit numbers are reserved on the device in advance, and everything syncs when the connection is back. The checks that keep patients safe never run offline, including releasing blood.
